ARTS DEPARTMENT, WEXFORD COUNTY COUNCIL
Wexford Arts Office works to ensure artists are supported to make great work that can be enjoyed by all.
Professional artists of all disciplines who live and work in County Wexford are valued members of the community who make a distinctive contribution to our quality of life. WEXFORD ARTS CENTRE
We believe that members of all ages in the Wexford community should have access to a contemporary arts programme to inspire, innovate and challenge the creative thought process. To support this belief, we deliver an arts programme of excellence for life and for all with emphasis on contemporary arts practice, participation and education and inspire creativity in the Wexford community
Wexford Arts Centre recognizes the value and significance of the visual arts for cultural development and strives to develop a clear identity for its visual arts activity and deliver an exhibition programme of high quality. We aim to provide opportunities for professional artists, including those at the early stages of their careers, and originate and produce exhibitions and programmes for touring to other venues. We deliver a visual art education programme to encourage active participation in the analysis and production of contemporary visual arts, and a professional development programme for visual artists to encourage critical analysis and debate, and the production of new work in different contexts.
